Happy Saturday!

Updated: Aug 18

Good morning everyone! I hope your day is off to a great start. On my off day this week, I decided to try out some new recipes. One of the recipes I tested was a Cinnamon Roll Cake. This turned out absolutely amazing! And it's so delicious when it's warm. It's gotten rave reviews from everyone that's tried it and Jack & I love it!

The recipe is posted below. It's super easy and so tasty. Give it a try next time you want to bake or on a random Tuesday when you want something sweet!

Cinnamon Roll Cake

Cake

 2 2/3 cups flour

1 Tbsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 1/3 cups sugar

1 ½ sticks butter, melted

1 cup whole milk

2 eggs

Vanilla bean paste

Cinnamon filling

½ cup packed dark brown sugar

½ stick butter, partially melted + 2 Tbsp melted completely

1 Tbsp flour

1 Tbsp cinnamon

Glaze

1 2/3 cups powdered sugar

2 -3 Tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 10x15 pan with baking spray.

In a mixing bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the eggs, butter, milk, and a splash of vanilla bean paste and stir to combine. You can add more milk if the batter is too thick. Pour into your pan and spread evenly.

For the filling, mix all of the ingredients together and drop by small spoonful’s all over the top of the cake. Then take a small knife or skewer and swirl into the batter until its marbled all over the cake. Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges are light golden brown and a toothpick comes out mostly clean from the center. Set on a wire rack to cool for 10-15 minutes.

Mix together your glaze ingredients and pour on your cake after it set for 10-15 minutes of cooling.  Make sure to spread all over your cake evenly.

This cake is amazing to eat while it is warm, but is also amazing when cooled completely!
